We recently took a trip to Connecticut to take advantage of cooler weather on the coast. It was so nice to get away from the crazy heat wave we had and I came away excited for fall! It was also the perfect time to take Vineyard Vines’ new fall collection for women to try. Their latest arrivals consist of classic basics, beautiful fall hues, and fun fall layers, all craft-worthy. my fall wish list! Today I’m going to highlight a few of my Vineyards favorites and share some tips on how to layer up in cold weather so we’ll all be prepared when it finally arrives. Not that you’ll ever find me wanting to go away in the summer!

HOW TO LAYER IN COLD WEATHER
As you may have noticed, I have a weakness for layering clothes. Layer blazers and coats over tops, drape sweaters over my shoulders, stack different shades of the same color…I like everything! And it’s not just in the fall, but I prefer layering all year round (unless it’s extremely hot!). I think layering is an easy way to add color and dimension to an outfit. Of course, in the cooler months, they also keep you warm!
So when I got my hands on it Vineyard Vines news for women, I couldn’t help but create some layered looks for fall. And with the season just around the corner, I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite tips on how to layer up in cold weather. Because even during the autumn and winter months, it is more than possible to stay warm while remaining fashionable!
1. BRIGHT AND COLORFUL SOCKS
Add bright and colorful socks is such a fun (and affordable!) way to stay warm with a splash of color. You can layer them under heels with dresses or under loafers with jeans or pants.
2. AN OVER THE SHOULDER COAT
It’s a simple and straightforward option! Basically, every time I step outside and it’s chilly outside, you’ll see me with a coat or laid on my shoulders. Additionally, you can replace a coat with a blazer for a lightweight option.
3. NECKLACES AND CUFFS

4. PROTECT YOUR NECK

How to layer up in cold weather on a budget? To try layer your shoes! A simple high sock tip brings a unique element to the outfit and provides extra warmth.
9. DON’T FORGET TO ACCESSORY
Layered necklaces, wear a watch over a sweaterOr add a pair of classic earrings. There are many ways to layer accessories. Like I did with this Vineyard Vines look, adding a crossbody bag is always the perfect finishing touch!
10. MONOCHROMATIC LOVE
When wearing layers in cool weather, don’t be afraid to add monochrome pieces. Pairing products in different shades of the same color is bold and fun! You can also break it up with pops of other colors in your accessories or in a layered collared shirt underneath.

VINES FALL VINEYARD COLLECTION FOR WOMEN
Alright, now that I’ve shared some tips on how to layer clothes in cold weather, I want to go back and highlight a few more Vineyard Vines pieces that I love. There are really so many great ones this season!
