Yesterday I bought a new juicer that someone shared with me, and I bought it because it was something I had never seen before! (To be honest, I believe it just came out this year – someone let me know if it’s incorrect)
It’s a hard plastic flat hand juicer. That’s right, it looks like a pixelated drawing of a classic clamshell-style juicer, but it opens up like origami. You then insert your half-citrus into the opening, and when you squeeze the handles together, it begins to fold back into its flat shape, squeezing the juice out of the citrus.
So I took it upstairs to our rooftop bar, The Sunset Room, and shot a little video review of it. Check it out below, this stuff is pretty cool!
Unanswered questions so far:
- How long will this last in a professional setting?
- Does it actually extract more juice than a typical clamshell juicer?
- How does it stand up to the daily dishwasher?
