New York Fashion Week is always accompanied by a multitude of stylish outfit inspiration, whether it’s editors, influencers, stylists, runway collections or celebrities. Participants and designers work for weeks, even months, to perfect what is on display during the week-long event. Of course, the resulting sets are often a huge success. But sometimes, styling during fashion week can be a little over the top. And since my style is more minimal than maximal, I always appreciate when someone debuts an outfit that whispers instead of screams.
One of these people is Laura Harrier, who attended a NYFW launch party for Fossil, wearing a deep-V polo neck LBD that featured chest pockets and a maxi hemline with a gold chain necklace and black boots. This look is exactly the kind that I constantly tell my friends and colleagues about, swooning over its timeless appeal and sexy-yet-sophisticated elegance. Luckily, it didn’t take me long to find a similar black polo neck dress for $89 from Nordstrom’s in-house brand. Opened it, a brand that every publisher keeps in their back pocket, which gives off an almost exact vibe to Harrier.
