Railbookers reports a peak in travel demand in the second half of 2023, with nearly 54% of all bookings in the last six weeks departing before the end of December.
The company says the trips aren’t just long weekend getaways either, with an average length of eight nights for this same year holiday. Among its Canadian-based clients, popular destinations include Portugal, Italy, Ireland and Spain.
In response to demand, Railbookers has extended the hours of its reservations service, with rail experts available for instant quotes and reservations Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST and Saturday and Sunday. 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST.
Additionally, Railbookers has extended its flash sale until Friday, August 18. Travelers can save up to $500 on all Railbookers vacation deals. Additionally, travel advisors booking vacations departing in 2023 for their clients will continue to receive a gift card of up to $100.
“The demand for last-minute bookings in 2023 is incredible, even as we head into the final months,” said President and CEO Frank Marini. “With inventory on the train, hotels and tourist activities available, we are making last-minute bookings easier for our travel agent partners and their customers.”
The Railbookers Travel Agent Gift Card Incentive offers up to $100 in gift cards to agents for every booking of 10 nights or more for a 2023 departure. Bookings of 7-9 nights receive a gift card of $50 while a reservation of 3 to 6 nights earns the agent a $25 gift card. All trips must begin in 2023 to be eligible for the gift card incentive.
