The Duchess of Rothesay was on a casual break for a day of engagements with the Duke of Rothesay in Moray and Inverness, Scotland. 
Today’s engagements focused on organizations supporting rural communities. The couple’s first stop was at a local primary school, where the royals were greeted by pupils.

Kate told fellow student Oliver to go easy on the punches following a mid-term accident for the Princess of Wales.
“She said she injured her finger playing on the trampoline with her children.
“She also said she couldn’t give too many punches or high fives because it hurt!”
The prince and princess were at school to communicate with Moray outfit, “an award-winning charity that provides life-changing outdoor learning and adventure programs for young people,” according to the organization’s website. They saw some young people participating in a mountain bike exercise.

Outfit Moray supports young people aged 8 to 18 and has worked with more than 16,000 young people since its creation in 2003. It offers a wide range of activities including mountain biking, paddle sports, climbing, shooting bow and bushcraft.
The princess consoled a rider who fell off his bike.

They were at the farm to learn more about “…efforts to better support the mental health and wellbeing of young people,” according to a press release from the Palace.
The press release also states that the farm has “space for young children to explore and learn… indoor and outdoor space for child-led play where families, including those based near RAF Kinloss and RAF Lossiemouth, can concentrate and reconnect with their children. , and we meet regularly as a group.
At Brodiehill Farm they met members of the Lower Speyside Young Farmers group and representatives from Farmstrong Scotland.
The group recently participated in the “Are the Sheep OK?” “, led by the Scottish Association of Young Farmer Clubs, encouraging members to talk about mental health and break the stigma associated with the subject.

The Prince of Wales revealed his passion for motorsport and all things mechanical in Inverness – and joked he would have loved the chance to take his wife Kate to the indoor circuit at Inverness Kart Raceway during a visit to the site today.
The Duke of Rothesay spoke lightly of his and the Princess of Wales’ fierce “competition streaks” at the end of an hour-and-a-half visit to youth mentoring charity DAY1 and said they would have loved to tackle the go-kart circuit in a race.

Dylan Mackay (13), in his third year at Inverness Royal Academy, said: “I’ve been here for a year and a half and it’s been great to get on the track, meet like-minded people and experience ‘acquire new skills. It gave me a lot of confidence. I didn’t know if I would be able to stand up and chat with the royal couple and I probably wouldn’t have been able to not that long ago, but they were very down to earth and chatted very easily . It was all very light.

Now let’s move on to what Kate wore today. 
We start with his jacket, a piece from last season signed Burberrythe label Checked and diamond quilted jacket. The garment features the brand’s iconic check in a wool/polyester fabric. The jacket has a fitted silhouette with a cinched waist, slanted front pockets, bias trim, gold snaps to the front and a black corduroy spread collar. Thanks to Middleton Maven for this ID.

Underneath the jacket, the princess wore a turtleneck that we’ve never seen before. Although it’s hard to tell without seeing more of the sweater, Middleton Maven suggests it’s the Polo Ralph Lauren wool and cashmere turtleneck sweater ($398). The piece has a square cut with ribbed edges at the collar, cuffs and hem. 
I didn’t get a good look at the jeans, but I will later tonight.. UPDATE: The jeans look like another pair of Mother, the Weekend style, in a color called “Deep End”. I show them below at Saks ($258), but they are also in stock at Motheras well as at Nordstrom and to Neiman Marcus. Thanks for Kate Middleton in style for this identifier. 
The princess wore the same boots as worn yesterday, which I placed in the UFO category. Having a much better photo today helped me see that these are not the Reiss Thea. A big distinction: the Reiss have seams at the sole, while the ankle boots worn by the Princess are not sewn.
UPDATE 9:45 p.m. With my thanks to No more UFOsthe boots look like a ba&sh model, the brand Codalie Chelsea ankle boot in chocolate brown (€179, around $190 at the current exchange rate). 
The boots are 100% leather in a slip-on design, with a lugged sole and inserted elastic. It is available in black at ba&sh ($460) and Bloomingdale’s ($460). The princess also wore a brand belt.
It looked like the princess was wearing it Removable teardrop garnet charm hoops (£95, about $115) by a Welsh jeweler Love spells. 
The hoop earrings are made from recycled 18k gold vermeil over sterling silver with removable garnet charms, and they are available for pre-order with delivery expected in 10-12 weeks.
