Every season I love being on the NYFW street style scene!! It’s so amazing to see how fashion is evolving in this city with so much inspiration to be found! Like many, this season I wanted to push my fashion to new levels (the bag I wore above is from Brandon BlackwoodLoewe sunglasses and a designer dress Claudia Li) – check out the post here about what I wore for NYFW! I would say this season was some of the best street style I’ve seen in NYC so far! Here are some of the trendy street styles I spotted! How many of them did you already know?
“Motor core”
Does “Motorcore” sound familiar to you? Chances are you’ve already styled something similar to this NYFW street style trend!! Motorcycle jackets hit the scene last winter and many people headed to their local vintage store to find one (like I did here)! But a good thing doesn’t happen so easily! Motorcore (as it is now aptly named) consists of motorcycle jackets and other boxy leather jackets. However, it continued with just about every leather piece that evokes it. I LOVE how moto jackets give that instant element of “cool” to your look!
Rosettes
Rosettes are gaining momentum as they are already crowned as one of the hottest trends of 2023! What exactly are rosettes? These are decorative roses that we find very far back in history (from the 17th century). But most of today’s inspiration comes from the rosette era of the ’90s – also found in season 3 of “Sex and the City”! Rose patterns are already among my favorites – like these Loewe heels I wore with a pink heel! We’ll definitely see more of them as they were spotted on the runways of Acne Studios and Sandy Liang.
Fiery Colors – Pops of Red
Red. I can’t get enough of this color and neither can many fashion lovers spotted during NYFW! It makes sense that red is making a comeback since it’s on the list of Pantone colors of the year! I love the fierceness that red instantly adds to an outfit. I call it a color stealer because your eyes are just drawn to that part of your outfit. Instantly elevate your wardrobe (and your mood) with a pop of red this season!! It’s safely one of my favorite colors next to Kelly green! What NYFW streetstyles do you like?
