Beep beep! Who had the keys to the jeep? LaQuan Smith is doing it, and he’s outdoing his fellow designers with his SS24 collection that debuted Monday night at the Lower East Side’s Skylight in Essex Crossing.

Attracting numerous celebrities like Mary J Blige, Baby Face, Saweetie and Karreuche Tran, Smith reigns supreme in the hip-hop and black culture industry.

He has designed for some of the biggest names, including Beyoncé, Rihanna and Vice President Kamala Harris, and his latest creations will prove to give him greater popularity among the general public.
Eclectic and charismatic, we saw many models walk the runway in metallic looks, letting us know that shiny fabric will be a theme and main trend in Spring 2024.

In an interview with tthe hollywood reporter in the wingsSmith said: “I took references from Freddie Mercury and Barbara to create little allusions to science fiction without being so literal.
We definitely saw imaginative and futuristic concepts in many of his creations and he wasn’t afraid to take risks unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Think sheer mesh bodysuits paired with metallic cargo pants with zipper details and the highest slits on strapless dresses, making your side hip the pic-a-boo we didn’t know we needed.

Not to mention her crystal chain mock neck tops that we’ve seen on both women’s and men’s models and can easily be seen on Lori Harvey and Kelly Rowland.
One thing is for sure, LaQuan Smith designs for the “It Girl” who is elegantly provocative and loves to show off her body in the sexiest and most glamorous way.

Ahead, see more LaQuan Smith creations. XOXO
