Kate, patron of the Rugby Football Union, was greeted by RFU president Rob Briers, France 2023 president Jacques Rivoal and World Rugby president Sir Bill Beaumont before being taken to her seat in the presidential box at the Marseille Vélodrome Stadium.
Dressed in a white pantsuit, she spoke with each of the directors in turn, but spent the most time with Sir Bill, the former England captain.
“We’re really excited to be here. Too bad we can’t stay here longer,” she said.
Sir Bill responded: “It has been a very busy and hectic few weeks in preparation. »
Kate said: “I’m sure it will be great.”
In many photos you see the princess with Sir Bill (bottom right, I think).
Renaud Muselier, president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regional council, shared a photo welcoming British fans and saying it was an honor to meet the princess.

Also today, the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with Princess Anne, are part of the latest episode of The good, the bad and rugby.
This is the podcast co-hosted by Mike Tindall and another former player, James Haskell (centre), and broadcaster Alex Payne (left).
Here’s a promo for the episode.
With the Rugby World Cup underway, the boys were invited to Windsor Castle for a very special podcast with the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Princess Royal.

She went on to say, “If I asked both of my parents who is more competitive, I think probably, like William and I, they would sit for quite a long time wondering who was more competitive and who was more sporty. both.

As many remember, the Princess of Wales is patron of the Rugby Football Union (RFU), Prince William is patron of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) and Princess Anne is patron of the Scottish Rugby Union ( SRU).
And of People video cover:
The princess also shared that her daughter played both rugby and soccer, which “weren’t school sports when I was little.”
“Charlotte plays both sports now, and it’s really good to see young people, especially girls, playing these types of sports now,” she shared.
There is a full podcast video.
Now let’s move on to our coverage of what Kate wore to the match and the podcast recording. At today’s game, it looks like she wore the Alexander McQueen blazer seen at launch in March of an early childhood trade task force (bottom left) and coordinating pants. Or she wore the optical white McQueen pieces seen at October Windrush commitments (at the bottom right).
The white blazer was first noticed when worn in Jamaica during the Caribbean tour. I think today’s statement pieces are the optical white pieces because of how the ivory or eggshell clutch pairs with the outfit worn today.

THE Massimo Dutti the pouch is made of strips of woven sheepskin leather and has a zipper on the top; it also comes with a removable shoulder strap.
Today’s jewelry is familiar to many readers. We saw the return of Mappin and Webb “Empress” necklace (on sale for £1,500, approximately $1,870) and matching earrings(£3,750, approximately $4,700 at today’s exchange rates) and the sterling silver England Rugby Rose brooch (no longer available).
In The good, the bad and rugby video released today, it seems the princess wore it Catherine Walker Prince of Wales check blazer. The jacket was first noted last February during an engagement in London. It features a single-breasted design with a fitted silhouette, notched lapels, flap pockets, a central back vent and four button cuffs.
It is possible that the princess wore it Holland Cooper Body (£149) under the jacket, but without better photos I can’t say this is the case for sure.
I’m not sure what pants the princess wore, but we do know what pair of shoes she wore – the Hugo Boss Staple P90-L heels in “charcoal gray” embossed leather.
She wore two necklaces in the video. Middleton Maven believes one is the Daniella Draper Three Star Necklace ($655), as Chrissy suggested, and I think they’re perfect. It is made of recycled silver and yellow gold, measuring 17″ in length.
The other necklace *could* be the Daniella Draper Midnight Moon Diamond Trio Necklace ($1,700), personalized with her children’s initials. (It is pictured below when worn on another occasion.)
Her earrings could be Kiki McDonough’s Green amethyst pear dangling earrings (£695, approximately $866 at current exchange rates).
And finally today, a one-minute video released by Buckingham Palace recounting the highlights of King Charles’s first year.

NOTE: The post has been updated to show both the ivory and white Alexander McQueen styles. I originally wrote that I thought it was the ivory set, but as stated above, I think it’s the white.
