Registrations are now open for collectors around the world to acquire this very limited release, hand-selected from some of Scotland’s finest distilleries, including the legendary Brora and Port Ellen.
Prima & Ultima offers collectors and connoisseurs the opportunity to build over time an expertly curated liquid library of magnificent whiskeys. Diageo’s fourth installment of its Prima & Ultima anthology of rare and collectible single malt scotches marks the first time the entire range will be available for purchase in the United States, and the second time individual bottles will be able to be purchased in the United States.
Hand-selected by DIAGEO Master Blender, Dr Emma Walker, for its exceptional quality and character, the fourth release includes the oldest whiskey ever bottled by the Talisker Distillery: a Talisker 46 Year Old, an experimental single malt from Clynelish and a Lagavulin heralding from 1997, known as a golden year for the Islay distillery. This Prima & Ultima release also features Oban Distillery’s debut in the collection with its very last casks from 1996, chosen for their unique coastal character, unusual for the distillery.
Exceptionally rare whiskeys from the reawakened ghost distilleries Brora and Port Ellen have also been carefully selected by Dr Emma Walker, with the latest 1977 American oak casks from the Brora Distillery and the latest 1978 American oak casks from Port Ellen completing the collection.
Only 413 complete Prima & Ultima Fourth Release sets are available worldwide through designated agents. The suggested retail price for the fourth release of Prima & Ultima is $44,000 in the United States for the full set, and when buyers purchase the full set, they will receive an additional miniature set of each liquid.
An online registration page is open from September 13 to October 11, 2023 at www.theprimaandultimacollection.com for whiskey collectors to register their interest, and from there a Prima & Ultima agent will contact you to coordinate the purchase of these rare releases.
