Located on the ground floor of the new Hyatt CentricAustin East Lampa full-service restaurant led by Chef Steve McHugh.
Luminaire shares a focus on seasonal and local Texas dishes and charcuterie, as well as a selection of well-crafted cocktails and new world wines.
The “Smoke & Mirrors” cocktail has recently joined the carefully curated cocktail menu. The name is a playful nod to Houdini, one of the very first bands to perform at the historic Paramount Theater next door! In addition to the 400 Conejos Mezcal, Smoke & Mirrors is topped with a sprig of flambé rosemary, adding an extra aromatic smokiness to the magical libation.
- 2 oz. 400 mezcal cones
- 0.75 oz. Lime
- 0.25 oz. Agave syrup
- 1.5 oz. Grapefruit
- 1 large ice cube
- 1 slice of Serrano
- 1 sprig of rosemary, for garnish
- Torch the rosemary and capture it in a glass.
- Add all the ingredients.
- Shake and filter.
- Top with soda.
- Add a sprig of flambé rosemary to the glass as a garnish.

Led by six-time James Beard Foundation finalist Chef Steve McHugh, Luminaire is the chef’s first restaurant in Austin. The fixture highlights local, seasonal Texas dishes and charcuterie, to the delight of fans of McHugh’s San Antonio restaurant, Cured at Pearl. The restaurant features indoor and outdoor seating as well as a full bar offering a selection of classic and well-crafted cocktails, craft beers and new world wines. McHugh also owns Las Bis, the hotel’s 8th floor terrace lounge bar specializing in playful conservas, craft cocktails and biodynamic wines.
