Q: What is the best and worst part of your job (being an influencer/creator)?
A: The best part is being able to wake up every day and do work that I love and am passionate about. It’s hard to beat that! What’s worse is how isolating and singular it can feel. I loved my corporate roles because I enjoyed being part of great teams, getting to know myself as a manager and as a direct report, and feeling part of something bigger. than me.
Q: Your favorite black designer pump?
A: To be honest, I don’t wear a lot of black. But I’ve owned several designer black pumps over the years and these were my favorites. If you want the same shoe with a little less height, there is a 70mm option. here. These are the most comfortable pumps I’ve owned and I love the suede (I’m a suede over lambskin team when it comes to a classic black pump) and love that ‘they don’t have a brand.
Q: What are your favorite brands to work with?
A: I’m not going to name any specific brands, but my favorite brands to collaborate with are the ones that really love my content and my point of view and they want that to shine through in our partnership. When I consider partnering with a brand, many different factors come into play. First and foremost, the brand needs to be authentically suited to my style, and the brand itself needs to show interest in genuine collaboration rather than dictate. I always try to find partners interested in creating content that matches their brand filter as well as mine. Often it also depends on timing, scope of work, fees/budget, and whether the particular product they want to showcase is right for me. Often, a brand that I admire seeks to partner, but on a specific product or product category that doesn’t necessarily make sense to Atlantic-Pacific. Ultimately, my goal, through the lens of fashion and style, is always to bring you the best content possible, whether sponsored or not.
Q: What do you miss the most in New York and what do you love the most about living in Florida (not people-based answers like friends, family, etc.)?
A: I really miss the energy and creativity of New York. There are always new works of art to see, interesting people on the streets and new cuisines to taste. I also miss the ability to walk as a form of transportation, rather than driving. Finally, I would say that it was a little easier to do my job in New York with so many brands, based in the city and so many events taking place there. Not to mention that there are great photo ops in almost every corner of the city!
In Florida, I love how relaxed and comfortable I feel. The pace is slower and it’s something I didn’t know I needed. I LOVE owning a house with so much more indoor and outdoor space. From a creative point of view, it was fun to decorate and design. In my day-to-day life, I feel like having more space has really helped me mentally. Finally, I love to be hot so this weather suits me perfectly. Even though I love fall/winter when it comes to fashion, I can skip those seasons when it comes to weather.
Q: Do you have any suggestions for fall coats under $300?
A: Of course! There are quite a few good ones online right now – I’m linking my top five favorites at the moment! I like this classic navy pea coat under $100, this shawl collar coat, that longer coat, this short plaid coat And this classic belted coat. It’s still so early in the season and I’m sure more great options will keep popping up!
Q: What three words would your partner use to describe you?
A: Good question. I just asked him and he said “Gracious, Determined and Extraordinary”. 🙂
Q: Will you do another collection with Tuckernuck?
A: We don’t have anything in the works at the moment. Working with the Tuckernuck team has been a real pleasure. I am very happy and grateful that so many people liked the product we created. Right now I’m taking a step back from collaborations (creation of co-branded products). This year I partnered with LAKE in term 1 and then Tuckernuck in term 2 and while I enjoyed them immensely, they are hard work and can be exhausting. So I made the decision not to do anything more for the rest of the year. I want all my collaborations to be unique and special and never rushed!
