So, as a fellow cold-weather resident, I’m sharing my best tips for staying warm in your sexy halloween costume. I have a few tricks up my sleeve to make this Halloween your coziest time yet!
Okay, I realize this cape isn’t originally intended for Halloween, but it beautifully illustrates my point here: You can stay warm this Halloween by opting for a sexy costume that includes a plus size CAPE! Most regular capes will be too small, so opt for a sexy costume with a cape.
I actually learned from the one and only Taylor Swift! Taylor is known for layering Capezio “Ultra Shimmery” Tights for her tour, and I think this idea is GREAT for plus size girls who need a little layering under their fishnet or short suit!
Unfortunately, Capezio only goes up to XL (it’s a shame!), so I found these tights that go up to 8X.
Look, I love fun, sexy heels as much as the next girl, but here’s my take: If you’re in a cold climate for Halloween, knee-high boots are definitely a must! I bet these boots from Eloquii will look FABULOUS with your costume!

Wear a wig
I learned this plus size Halloween tip the hard way. One year I decided to be Cruella De Vil…wig and all. Except when I went to a Halloween event at a club, I was NOT prepared to get hot in the head.
If you’re trying to stay warm this Halloween, then a costume with a wig (like this plus size Jessica Rabbit costume) is a great idea!
A Thermos is a must-have for Halloween. I like to have apple cider or hot chocolate. The contents of the thermos can keep your interior a little warmer and ALSO act as a hand warmer. I loved the design of this thermos from Target!

OK SO! I’ve found that most evening dresses don’t fit my arms, and plus size evening dresses are kind of… rare. BUT, I think this is such a clever idea for a Halloween costume because the gloves are sexy! I bought this pair of gloves that can be CUSTOMIZED to your measurements, how cool is that??!!?
